Permissions
CmdTab uses each permission for a specific macOS switching capability. This page separates local window access from the small operational telemetry the app sends.

Lets CmdTab detect the switcher shortcut, inspect eligible windows, move selection, and focus the chosen app or exact window.
Lets CmdTab capture previews of open windows. If capture is unavailable, eligible windows remain visible with an icon or placeholder.
Graceful fallback
When Screen Recording is denied or a capture fails, CmdTab keeps eligible window entries available using the app icon or placeholder presentation.
Accessibility remains necessary for shortcut handling, window inspection, and exact focus operations. CmdTab surfaces permission health in Settings so a missing permission can be diagnosed without guessing.
Data boundary
The current telemetry contract is narrower than the local macOS access used to render and focus windows.
The current native-app telemetry payload does not contain window titles, window previews, screenshots, keystrokes, file names, clipboard contents, or search queries.
